Kagetsu and Sumire Natsu vs Tam Nakano and Io Shirai (4/1/2018 Stardom)

Most Onita tribute matches look low budget and like shit *coughCZWcough* but this shockingly wasn't one of those. I came into this looking to see things get blown up and was largely rewarded. Going into this I had two things I was looking forward to. Number one is the obvious; what are the explosions. Number two is what kind of silly RVD pop up bumps Io is going to take for weapon shots. Io took the bat shot from Kagetsu but sadly didn't get much air. I'll give her credit for the corkscrew she did before she actually hit the ground. 6/10 on the wacky Io bump scale.

There were two stories of this. The first one was the heels beating up Tam, that was the more fun one. They spent a lot of time just doing straight wrestling to build up a future Io/Kagetsu singles match that I probably would have had a bit more interest in if I regularly followed the promotion. I was kind of led on that Tam was supposed to be the focus of this but they really had Io in there actually doing most of the wrestling. Everything meandered for a bit but we finally got the payoff I assume we all wanted when Tam blew up Natsu.

Tam pinned Natsu with a flying knee This was fun. I don't think they really needed the 25 minutes they took but I was never close to downright bored or anything.  downright bored watching it or anything. The actual action even between the weapons spots was still fast paced and fun. The only real issues is no one bled. Someone's gotta bleed in these things.
