Zack Sabre Jr. vs Munenori Sawa (4/6/2018 WWN Supershow)

Despite commentary's instance otherwise, Sawa did not come out of retirement just to work for WWN. This is a flagrant insult to the Anal Explosion match at DDT Judgement that should not be tolerated.

Sawa brought out the absolute best in Sabre, everything was fast paced and all of the transitions on the mat looked great. There was a lot of strike trading that Sawa came out on top of but Zack kept following back up even in losing if just to show that he can keep up with the legend. I was a little worried going into this how a 2018 crowd would react to someone like Sawa that they were probably unfamiliar with but only a fool should have ever doubted Munenori Sawa.

This was a really fun story of Zack trying to show up the legend. ZSJ had the advantage on the mat but every time it went back to striking Sawa took charge and got the better of him. Zack kept going for the octopus hold in a really cool visual that didn't really get the reaction it deserved in the building.

Sabre won with the Orienteering With Napalm Death after reversing an Ohtani Punch in about 13 minutes. Sawa was the perfect foil to get the most out of Sabre and knew how to sell all the submissions so they actually looked painful. It was really just great to get a Sawa singles match again. He really hasn't lost any of it and hopefully we only get to see even more of him.
